Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal for Manchester City in the ‘coming days’ – City Watch

City Watch

Alexis Sanchez could be a Manchester City player within a matter of days according to journalist, Gerard Romero.

Translated from Spanish, his Tweet reads: “Alexis Sanchez will be [a] Manchester City player in the coming days #mercato”

Romero has a strong track record of being in the know with transfers regarding Manchester City and called Leroy Sané, John Stones and Gabriel Jesus in the past long before they were officially confirmed by the club. That’s not to say he is infallible though as, like many others, Romero predicted that Fabinho would be one of a few Monaco players to join the Blues this season but has retracted that claim today and recent reports are suggesting that a deal for the Brazilian will not be done.

Romero last night was in a close proximity to Pep Guardiola, which could be telling (or not)…

City’s interest in Sanchez is no secret and Pep has made his admiration for his former player clear with Sanchez reciprocating the affection. The only hurdle it seems was Arsenal’s reluctance to let him leave to a Premier League rival, but with City likely to be the highest bidder for the Chilean’s services even Arsenal may have found it hard to turn down such a lucrative offer.
