NAC Breda hope to complete the signing of USA international Erik Palmer-Brown on loan from Manchester City as early as this week, City Watch understands.

The 21-year-old signed for City on a free transfer in the January transfer window and was immediately loaned to Belgian side KV Kortrijk for the remainder of the season.

A centre-back, Palmer-Brown is highly rated and recently won his first cap for the senior US national team against Bolivia. He will replace Pablo Marí at NAC Breda, after City loaned the Spaniard to Deportivo La Coruña last weekend.

Palmer-Brown will be one of several City loanees plying their trade at the Rat Verlegh Stadion in the coming season.

Serbia under-21 international Luka Ilić has completed all of the formalities ahead of a loan switch, but is still waiting for paperwork to go through before he officially joins.

Highly-rated goalkeeper Aro Muric is thought to have been in Breda, but is now back in Manchester and it isn’t certain yet if he will sign on loan.

Young Ghanaian Aminu Mohammed is also at NAC for a pre-season internship, his second spell training with the Dutch club.

Finally, Paolo Fernandes is expected to return for a second season on loan, the only City loanee from last year to remain at NAC, within one to two weeks.
