Wealthy Chinese side ‘seriously consider’ move for Manchester City playmaker

Samir Nasri is widely expected to leave Manchester City in the summer after returning from a loan spell at Spanish club Sevilla but his destination is unknown – although, according to a report from Foot Mercato, the Frenchman could be off to China.

Super rich side Shanghai Shenhua have entered the race for his signature and it is believed his asking price is around €14 million, but City may ask for more if they know multiple teams are interested in his services, especially those from China.

Samir Nasri could follow in the footsteps of Carlos Tevez who signed a lucrative deal for the Chinese club worth around £615,000 a week and an offer may appear too attractive for Nasri to decline.

Gus Poyet is currently the manager of Shanghai Shenhua and is said to be extremely interested in the player but it remains to be seen if an offer will be launched.
