Since Oleksandr Zinchenko’s mooted loan move to Napoli fell through on deadline day when coach Maurizio Sarri had a change of heart, the question has been what will happen with the promising 20-year-old this season.
Despite a disappointing loan spell at PSV Eindhoven last year, where he made only 12 appearances in the Eredivisie, it is clear that the 20-year-old Ukraine international has talent and potential, which is why Napoli had an interest in signing him.
But at the age of 20 and with only 11 caps to his name, does he have a work permit to play for Man City this season? The answer is yes, with Sam Lee of Goal confirming that Zinchenko is in fact eligible for selection.
Zinchenko's got a work permit and has been training with City

The midfielder, who can also operate as a left-back, is yet to make the bench for City this season, but as Pep Guardiola attempts to compete on four fronts, Oleks may get his chance to impress, perhaps in the Carabao Cup. If he struggles for game time, then a loan move is likely to happen in the January transfer window.
Another interesting footnote on Zinchenko from Sam Lee:
Fun fact: the police turned up at the CFA last summer to make sure Zinchenko couldn't/wouldn't train
