Manchester City have missed out on one of the (many) left-backs reportedly on their radar, with Bosnian international, Sead Kolašinac, set to join Arsenal according to Bosnian source Reprezentacija.

Sport Bild had reported that City were in the lead for the Schalke left-back, but there has been conflicting information on where his future lies. However, citing information from ‘agent sources’, Reprezentacija claims the 23-year-old signed a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal ‘a few days ago’ and has already chosen his squad number.

Of interest to Arsenal fans is that the report also claims that Kolašinac received confirmation that Arsene Wenger will remain in charge of the club next season, and decided that the North London club is his best option going forward.

Kolašinac is just one of a growing list of full-backs linked with City, because three of the four on the books are out of contract in June, and the fourth, Aleksandar Kolarov, is preferred as a centre-back. If Kolašinac isn’t joining, other potential recruits include Benjamin Mendy, Ryan Bertrand, José Luis Gayà and Faouzi Ghoulam, all of whom have been linked with a switch to the Etihad.
