Date and time confirmed for West Brom vs. Manchester City in the Carabao Cup

Manchester City’s trip to West Brom in the Carabao Cup third round will take place on Wednesday 20th September at 8pm, the club have confirmed.

City are currently pursuing Baggies captain Jonny Evans, and if they can overcome rival interest from Arsenal and Leicester, the 29-year-old could line up against his current side next month.

For anyone confused by the trophy name, the Carabao Cup is the EFL/Football League Cup, previously the Capital One Cup and Carling Cup. Carabao Energy Drink is a Thai energy drink launched in 2002 by Carabao Tawandang Co Ltd and is now Thailand’s second most popular energy drink.

City last won this trophy in 2016, beating Liverpool in a penalty shootout at Wembley. The Blues also lifted the cup in 2014 when they came from behind to beat Sunderland and have won the competition four times in total.
