The City Twittersphere saw a flurry of activity this morning amidst reports of Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva was in Manchester to finalise terms with Manchester City. After what seemed like an eternity, the club announced that the Portuguese international had indeed signed a five year deal for the club at a reported cost of £43m.
Fans took to Twitter to voice their excitement at the new signing, especially after his performance against the Blues at the Etihad earlier in the season, and some even identified him as a possible long term replacement for David Silva.
