Chilean journalist: Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez has chosen Manchester City, agent wants Bayern Munich

Alexis Sanchez has chosen Manchester City as his preferred option with the Arsenal superstar likely to quit the Emirates after they failed to secure Champions League football.

This is the information of Chilean sports journalist, Maks Cárdenas, who reveals that Alexis fancies a reunion with Pep Guardiola, but Arsenal’s apparent unwillingness to sell to a Premier League rival is the problem.

Alexis’ agent Fernando Felicevich wants the 28-year-old to join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, where another of his clients, Arturo Vidal, currently plies his trade. Cárdenas says the problem there is the Bundesliga, which while a top five European league, is not considered the most prestigious.

Other clubs interested in the Chilean star include Paris Saint-Germain, who according to today’s edition of L’Equipe, have made Sanchez their primary target for the summer transfer window.

Earlier this season, Pep Guardiola praised Alexis, saying: “I think the position that he is in now, as a striker, is perfect for him, it suits him perfectly.”

Manchester City are looking to add at least one more attacking name in the summer, despite Sergio Agüero looking near certain to stay and Gabriel Jesus impressing. 20-year-old Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, is subject to interest from around Europe and could be sold if offers in excess of £20 million arrive.
