This comes just one day after his previous club, Austria Wien, announced that they had sold the 24-year-old Nigerian international to Manchester City after ‘long and tough negotiations’. City themselves have yet to acknowledge the deal.
Kayode will spend the entire 2017-18 campaign at Girona and is the fifth Manchester City to make the switch on a temporary basis following Pablo Maffeo, Aleix Garcia, Douglas Luiz and Marlos Moreno.
Besides Austria Wien, where he was the Austrian Bundesliga’s top scorer last season, ‘Larry’ previously played for Maccabi Netanya in Israel and ASEC Mimosas in the Ivory Coast, and also had several loan spells including a stint with FC Luzern in Switzerland.
