Watch: Claudio Bravo heroics in penalty shootout inspire Chile into Confederations Cup final – City Watch
Maligned and mocked throughout his debut season for Manchester City, Claudio Bravo showed his true quality tonight for Chile against Bernardo Silva’s Portugal in the FIFA Confederations Cup semi-final.
The sides were deadlocked over 120 minutes of football, forcing a penalty shootout. And it didn’t last long as Chile put their first three into the net, while City goalkeeper Bravo saved all three of Portugal’s efforts, the last from former Man United man Nani.
It is reported that Bravo intends to stay and fight for his spot at the Etihad next season after Willy Caballero left the club, and if he can show this sort of form at club level, new boy Ederson Moraes may have a fight on his hand.

For his display, Bravo was also officially named Man of the Match.
