Having barely recovered from the Manchester derby, Manchester City are back in action this afternoon, facing relegation threatened Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
City must win games like this or their place in next year’s Champions League will come under threat. Despite an FA Cup win over Boro in March, it’s hard to forget that they held City to a 1-1 draw at the Etihad back in November, one of the results that have contributed to a disappointing campaign for Pep’s men.
Kevin Friend is today’s referee and here are the starting line-ups selected by Pep Guardiola and his counterpart, Steve Agnew.
Middlesbrough XI: Guzan, Fabio, Chambers, Gibson, Friend, Clayton, de Roon, Forshaw, Stuani, Downing, Negredo
Manchester City XI: Caballero, Kompany, Kolarov, Otamendi, Clichy, Navas, Fernandinho, Aleix Garcia, De Bruyne, Jesus, Aguero
Today’s match is NOT on TV in the UK but radio commentary is scheduled on BBC Radio Manchester. A full list of TV coverage from around the world can be found here.
